Intern at the American Egg Board

The internship program with the American Egg Board is a 10-week virtual program that highlights how we exceed our mandate to drive demand for eggs and egg products and showcases the various types of careers available related to agriculture, specifically agriculture promotion, education and research at a federal checkoff program. The primary objective is for the intern to learn both about AEB in general as well as to acquire the specific skills necessary to function effectively in the agriculture and food industry. Opportunities will be provided for the intern to travel to specific events related to their assigned projects.

“This internship created opportunities for 1) in-depth learning, about AEB and its industry work, and 2) for actual organizational impact through work on projects of importance to the organization. AEB provided opportunities for professional and personal development through the ownership of different project assignments, as well as by making space for interns to meet important actors (both internal and external to the organization) and to gain exposure to different AEB action areas that may not have been directly related to the internship focus.”
