At Tennessee’s Tullahoma City Schools, Director of Nutrition, Angela Cardwell, says, “Our mission is to provide all students with the opportunity to obtain an excellent education.” From her perspective, this begins with nutrition and ensuring students eat well, so they’re prepared to learn.
Eggs are one of the foods regularly offered on the schools’ menus as illustrated by the delicious and creative, Hawaiian Sunrise Burger. Also, the high school serves a scrambled egg bar three times a week for breakfast. Other eggcellent options offered at the schools, include a spinach salad with sliced hard-boiled egg and sliced mushrooms; bento boxes with hard-boiled eggs; and egg & cheese biscuits.
