Colonnade of Eggs Press Kit
46th annual First Lady’s Commemorative Egg & The ‘United States of Possibility’ Commemorative Eggs Exhibit
A tradition dating back 46 years, America’s Egg Farmers are proud to present a Commemorative Easter Egg to the First Lady of the United States. Every year, this special egg is customized to reflect the interests and passions of America’s First Ladies. This year, two real chicken eggs were donated by former AEB Chairwoman Mindy Truex, of Creighton Brothers Farms in Indiana. The design on the egg, pictured below, serves as an homage to Dr. Jill Biden’s passion for helping children reach their full potential through education.
Building on this longstanding tradition, the American Egg Board—on behalf of America’s Egg Farmers—curated a special series of Easter eggs designed by students from all 56 states and territories. Themed ‘The United States of Possibility,’ selected student designs were brought to life on real hen eggs by talented egg artists from across the country. This exhibit will be on display along the White House East Colonnade in April.
