America’s egg farmers are coming together to donate eggs to families in need ahead of spring 2023 celebrations, including Easter and Passover.
As members of their local communities, egg farmers are honored to come together and give back to neighbors in need. More than 34 million people, including 9 million children, in the United States are food insecure, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Food insecurity exists in every county and congressional district in the country.
Sharing eggs is especially important because eggs are one of the most nutritious, wholesome sources of high-quality protein available. Protein has great value to those who are hungry – and to the hunger relief organizations who serve them.
